58. Unlearning the Belief that You're Broken

from Embracing Enough · host Dina Scippa

In this solo episode, I talk through my current unlearning of the belief that there is something "broken" about me and that I need fixing. A couple of weeks, I got some UNSOLICITED feedback from someone who called me out for being a coach and helping women out on their journey because I was clearly SO broken. Did it hurt when I heard it? Duh. I'm human. But I also didn't need to internalize it as my truth.  I hear from women all the time that they feel like they're broken and what's worse, some feel beyond repair. But I'm here to talk about that it couldn't be further from the truth. There is nothing about you that needs to be fixed. Subscribing to the belief that there is something broken in us or that needs to be fixed keeps us stuck and stagnant; and robs us of our confidence to do the things that really matter to us. Here's a thought: why not try on the idea that you can give yourself massive amounts of self-love, compassion and permission instead of hyper-focusing on the broken parts of you and see what that feels like. That's what I choose to do - in every moment of every day. If you are interested in learning more about The Unlearning Lab, head to https://enoughlabs.com/the-unlearning-lab/ Doors are open now!
