595. We are All Called to Serve - Not to be served! July 12, 2024

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 12. I will then key in on verse 14 - A man will be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth, And the recompense of a man's hands will be rendered to him. Friends, Proverb 18:21 tells us that Death and Life are in the power of the tongue, and they that love it shall eat it's fruit. Friends, we can bring forth life (with our words), or we can bring forth death (with our words). On today's lesson we will elaborate a bit on yesterday's lesson. After completing today's lesson there are three things that I ask that you consider: 1. James and John ask Jesus for favor. 2. The cost of discipleship is steep. 3. We are all called to serve - not to be served. Call to Action - Ask yourself this question - in term of today's lesson, where do you stand? Are you careful with your words? Are you careful with the works of your hands? Do you primarily do good deeds, or do you use your hands to do evil?
