5thVelvi(1995)-When does liberation (mukti) occur? | முக்தி என்பது எப்பொழுது கிடைக்கும்?

from Santhosam Podcast: Guiding Light of Spiritual Wisdom · host Santhosam

According to Siddha medicine, humanity suffers from 4,448 diseases. These arise from imbalances in the three elements—Vata (air), Pitta (fire), and Kapha (water). When these increase or decrease beyond their natural measure, disease occurs. If the three elements of body (air, fire, water) are regulated, disciplined, and harmonized, one attains a body free of illness, a prosperous life, and a flourishing existence. This is the purpose of yoga—to teach the way to balance these forces. Therefore, this sacred practice (velvi) is meant to regulate Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. Seekers are asked to meditate at least twenty minutes in the morning and evening. Even if you begin with just twenty minutes, and practice consistently, within a month many of your ailments, obstacles, and bodily afflictions will surely be removed. No human being is without shortcomings. Parents worry about their children’s progress, education, and success. We, too, wish for the upliftment of all humanity. Yet despite abundance, mankind suffers, because the mind clings to the attitude of “not enough.”In truth, every human is born complete, full, and divine. But the senses lead the mind outward, where it sees only lack. Fulfillment is not outside—it is within. That is why we are born with divine essence already inside us.Thus, the call is to turn inward. Outer life (Igaloka) is worldly existence; inner life (Agaloka) is spiritual existence. Both must be lived well. In earlier times, people believed that inner life was attained only after sixty years, after renunciation and ascetic vows. But this is not so.In different ages, different paths were emphasized: in Krita Yuga, austerity; in Treta Yuga, wisdom; in Kali Yuga, chanting the divine name (Nama Sankirtana). Yet even in Kali Yuga, liberation is not limited to chanting alone. True liberation (mukti) comes when the mind attains fullness.Send us Fan MailLet Wisdom Flourish!Let Peace Prevail!
