from Win Today · host Ryan A. Cass

Send us Fan MailEpisode #6 brings us an exciting story about the pursuit of constantly getting better. In 2020, Lee Davis set out to break an unofficial Guinness World Record for performing the most amount of "Murph" workouts in a 24 hour period. The "Murph" is a popular hero workout named after Lt. Michael P. Murphy, United States Navy, who passed away serving the United States in Afghanistan in 2005. The workout consists of a 1 mile run followed by 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 squats, followed by another 1 mile run. Dare I mention all while wearing a 20 pound weighted vest.Lee made a goal to break the previous World Record of 15 Murphs in 24 hours, and accomplished it on Memorial Day 2020 by completing 16 grueling repetitions. Learn more about how Lee pushed himself through the challenge, and how he uses physical challenges to sharpen his mindset! When Lee isn't pushing himself to the brink physically, he's giving back in his community. Following completion of the Murph challenge in 2020, he created a program through his gym, Rhapsody Fitness, called Sweat n' Serve. A program that remains alive today, even while Lee is away serving in the United States Army. Everywhere that Lee goes, he makes it a goal to serve his community, perhaps the coolest thing about him besides being an absolute stud physically! He attributes his success to consistency, goal setting, and surrounding himself with the right people. Learn more about Lee, and how you can implement his best practices into your lifestyle!
