#6: Shoot for the Moon

from Coleman Associates Innovation Podcast · host Coleman Associates

During this installment, we wanted to provide the "moon" for encouraging people to “shoot for the moon”.  In this episode, we are joined by the iconoclastic innovator that brought you Coleman Associates, Roger Coleman. Roger joins us to talk about innovation and share experiences with excellent innovation and his encounters with ‘pirate innovators.’ Though touched on in Podcast #5, Roger refreshes our memory of the four stages of innovation: catalytic change, acquired adaptability or acquired agility, preeminent performance, and inspiring innovation.  Roger highlights examples he has seen in his career including the example of Steve Jobs/Apple computing in which he has inspired innovation to drive change and witnessed success centered around patient care. Through these examples, we learn that innovation magic can happen when you have the right people with varying expertise on a team. Additionally, top management plays a critical role in refreshing the values of the organization and driving patient-centered innovation.  Listen to this podcast to hear from an innovator where things can go and how ‘pirate innovators’ are successful and allow creative ideas to challenge your organization’s willingness to innovate. Put you seat belt on and make sure those tray tables are up…. Tweet us @colemanassoc, send us an email, or follow us on Facebook.Guests: Roger ColemanHost:Ryan JuryThanks for listening!  Check us out on: FacebookInstagramLinkedInOur WebsiteTikTokTwitterYouTube
