6. Understanding the Chakra System

In this episode of Is This Sh!t Legit? we give you a comprehensive understanding of the Chakra System and how Energy Healing works. Because we touch on the Chakra System and different Energy Healing techniques in a lot of our episodes, we decided to devote a whole episode to diving deeper into this topic to give you, our listeners, a better understanding of what we're referring to. There are similar systems that have been documented by ancient Indian, Tibetan, Chinese, and Japanese cultures from around the same time period that all describe an energetic component to the human body. While these cultures use different terms to describe what they understand to be happening, they share the same concept, that our bodies contain an energy system. We go in depth into describing the different components of the energy system, which is comprised of energy bodies, energy centers and energy channels and how these components work together to take in, transform and transmit energy both throughout the body and between the body and the surrounding environment. Both Heather & Keri give their individual takes on how understanding and working with the Chakra System has impacted their lives personally and why they think it's important to acknowledge this part of our bodies and the role it plays.
