61 | Kill Bill (Volume I & II)

from Cinema Gamut · host Joe Tomko & Tristen Moles

This was recorded before "The Whole Bloody Affair" came out. It was recorded 50 years ago, in fact. I've been in a coma since then. While I was in the hospital they... Anyway, this is supposed to be the last episode, but after I woke up from my coma I decided I like anime now, and I forced Tristen to watch an anime... And the live-action adaptation. ... Does anyone read these? Anyway, the anime in question is Ghost in the Shell. So watch Ghost In The Shell (1995), then watch Ghost In the Shell (2017). Honestly, you can skip the 2nd one, I barely remember it. If you want bonus points, you can read Ghost In The Shell (1989), or watch Ghost In The Shell 2: Innocence (2004). You gotta watch the animes in Japanese though. The English voice acting is... something only a mother could love. It's hard to find them in Japanese though, the 2nd one, especially. Like, I had to look for a LONG time to find it. Not that I watched it. Because we only watched Ghost In The Shell (1995) and Ghost In The Shell (2017). What else.... umm, you could watch Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex (2004) if you want a less interesting version of the world and characters from the anime movies. I mean, I only watched two episodes, but like, how many do you watch before you decide the show ain't good? When you think about it, any show or movie could get good at any point. We watched Iron Lung recently and it was mostly solid, if a little uneven, but then the ending was some of the sickest shit I've seen this year. I mean, it's February, but if you take the last 12 calendar months... That year... Anyway, don't watch Ghost In The Shell (1995) with your mom. Lots of nips in that thing. Maybe there's a censored version? I didn't really look into that, so you're on your own there. I mean, there's plenty of other movies you could watch with your mom, like Kill Bill! No nips in that one. I think? Boy, it's been a while since I saw it... Definitely some feet in there. Maybe ask your mom how she feels about feet before you watch it. Bit of a grey area. I mean, not for old Quentin, but for you and me.Wow, I thought I would get cut off by now. Technology huh? Oh... I feel another coma coming on... Whew, false alarm... I do have to go though. Got a date with my Kusanagi body pillow.
