63. Romans 6:17-22 | Final Calvary Chapel Elk Grove Pastor Phil Ballmaier 9-11-24 Tonight Pastor Phil continues in Romans, Chapter 6. In Romans 6 through Romans 8 we learn that because of the finished work on the Cross—sin no longer has ahold of us. That we've been set free from the power of sin and death! Paul teaches the keys to overcoming sin and our fallen sin nature we must follow 4 principles: 1. Know (vs. 3-10) 2. Reckon (vs. 11-12) 3. Present (vs. 13-19) 4. Obey (verses 16-17) We'll continue to explore these keys to victory as we continue through Romans 6. This is all a part of the sanctification process as a believer, for His glory and kingdom. *** Paul chose Rome for a reason when he went out to preach. Firstly, because God had sent him, but because Rome was a central 'point of the world' as 'all roads lead to Rome'. So if he shared the Gospel there, whomever received it would carry God's Word, and the testimonies of Paul and the work they'd seen done out into the four corners of the world. Often referred to as the Gospel according to Paul, and the greatest book ever written, Paul's letter to the Romans will become our focus as Pastor Phil continues to lead us through the Word of God.
