64. Anxiety

from Curated Chaos Hosted by Shemira Thomas

Anxiety around decision-making is one of the most human experiences there is—especially when the stakes are high or the outcome is unknown. It’s that deep tension between wanting to trust yourself and fearing you’ll choose the “wrong” thing. You weigh every possibility, overanalyze signs, and sometimes freeze altogether. That kind of pressure can make even simple decisions feel heavy. And when it comes to taking a leap of faith into the unknown? That’s next-level vulnerability. There’s often no safety net, no clear answer, and no real way to know how it will turn out until you’re already in it. You hope your intuition is guiding you, that your future self will be grateful you were brave. But sometimes—despite your best intentions—you leap, and it still hurts. Regret can hit hard. Whether it’s a relationship, a job, a move, or something more personal, the feeling of “maybe I shouldn’t have done that” can echo in your mind for a while. And the hardest part? You still have to live with that choice. That doesn’t mean you failed. It just means you’re in the middle of the story, not the end. Part of growing is learning that some decisions won’t turn out the way you hoped—and that’s okay. There’s wisdom in every misstep, resilience in sitting with consequences, and grace in allowing yourself to move forward anyway. You might not be able to undo the choice, but you can choose what happens next. You can pivot. You can learn. You can forgive yourself. And eventually, you may look back and see that what felt like a wrong turn was just the path you needed to walk to become who you’re meant to be. It’s okay to feel unsure. It’s okay to feel regret. And it’s more than okay to keep going anyway. Youtube: https://youtube.com/@shemira7?si=41FobctmaUJ_WDUS Playlist: https://music.apple.com/profile/ricola_thomas
