641. We Must Always be Ready - September 16, 2024

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 16. I will then key in on verse 9 - A man's heart plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps. Friends, verse 9 differentiates people who try to make decisions on their own (non-Christians) vs. those who ask the Lord to direct their steps (Christians). On today's lesson I am going to talk about an incident that happened yesterday at church that prompted me to pause for a day from our study of the Book of the minor prophet Hosea. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider: 1. Only the Father knows when He will take you home. 2. Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. 3. Therefore, you also be ready. The main passage of scripture in today's lesson came from Matthew's gospel, Chapter 24: verses 34-44.
