643. Hosea - Chapter 7 (#2) - They Have Spoken Lies Against Me - September 18, 2024

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 18. I will then key in on verse 1 - A man who isolates himself seeks his own desire; He rages against all wise judgement. Friends, I believe that we can substitute the country of Israel (during the time period of the minor prophet Hosea) for "a man" in this verse. The Israelites were certainly seeking their own desire. They also were not showing wisdom of any kind (Job states that wisdom is having the fear of the Lord). On today's podcast we will review the three points from Episode 639 (last Thursday's podcast). Then we will begin today's lesson in Chapter 7 & go over verses 11 through 16. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider: 1. Wherever they go, I will spread My net on them. 2. They have spoken lies against Me. 3. They return, but not to the Most High. Is there anything going on in your life that is prohibiting you from doing all that God has called you to do? 2. Are you using wisdom (demonstrating having the Fear of God) in your life on an everyday basis?
