Their primary focus is on providing mental health and wellness services to groups such as BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, foster/adoptive families, and formerly incarcerated individuals who experience marginalization and disenfranchisement. Choosing Empowerment provides virtual psychotherapy to people of all ages in Louisiana, Texas, and internationally, and extends mental health and wellness life coaching services beyond the boundaries of their licensed states. At Choosing Empowerment LLC, the foundation is based on the power of choice and healthy relationships. Shawnnell takes her responsibilities seriously as a mental health advocate, speaker, author, and community leader. She remains committed to being honest, informative, straightforward, compassionate, non-judgmental, and understanding. The organization believes in promoting accountability and empowering clients and those around them to put in the necessary work to heal and become their best and highest selves.
