67. The Gift of Hard-Won Wisdom

Send us Fan MailFor many, the past year has been full of challenge and stretch and situations that may have pushed you way out of your comfort zone. This may not have been the easiest time of your life, but it could be the most useful in terms of developing your skills and knowledge. No one was trained for the pandemic and therefore even those who proclaim to be 'expert' are learning as they go.  Reframing the mistakes, missteps and retakes as opportunities to reflect and learn empowers us to see how it is the lows that tend to yield high levels of wisdom (rather than years served i.e. age). For anyone who is finding it hard to label this year as a successful, high- achieving  one, be inspired by the ancient Stoics who believed that it is the challenges in life that means we appreciate and value life. The gift of this hard-won wisdom is that this gives you priceless levels of ideas, insights and confidence to make decisions - and valued by those around you as someone who can bring wisdom to a situation.
