67. The Relic

As we travel back to 1997 for our second stop in Monster March, we kick things off in Brazil before heading to the Chicago Natural History Museum for The Relic.And when I say the museum… I mean a lot of time in the museum, with almost as much time crawling around the extremely gross tunnels underneath it. Our Sexy Scientist even ends up wandering through them barefoot at one point. 😳 I mean, who needs shoes when you’re trying to “save lives and stop a rampaging monster”!Said monster, as we eventually learn, has developed a very specific appetite for this particular museum staff… thanks to some questionable science and an imported crate from Brazil that probably should’ve been left unopened.But fear not! We’ve got Tom Sizemore bringing peak Snarky 90s Cop Energy, teaming up with Penelope Ann Miller to combine science and crime-solving in the least OSHA-compliant museum investigation imaginable.• Is there shitty 90s CGI? Of course.• Is there maybe a little too much science for the average person? Possibly.• Do we get the classic “we’re about to die but let’s make out first” horror moment?
