686. What is a Backslider? (#2) - November 18, 2024

from Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley · host Bill Kelley

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 18. I will then key in on verses 10 & 11 - The name of the Lord is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe. The rich man's wrath is his strong city, And like a high wall in his own esteem. Friends, if you are a Christian you know that you can always rely on God; conversely if you have not received Jesus as your Lord and Savior you will tend to trust on your material possessions. On today's podcast I will continue the lesson I began on Thursday's podcast (#684). If you did not get a chance to listen to that podcast I encourage you to do so. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider: 1. Backsliding is a temporary situation. 2. If you are in a backslider state you are still saved. 3. If you know someone who is backsliding you should help restore them in a loving manner. Scriptures referenced in today's lesson: biblestudytools.com; Galatians 6:1 Call to Action: Are you in a backslider state? Are you satisfied with the current relationship you have with God - or do you need to maybe remove a couple things from your life?
