7. Adventure, Hard Work, and the Heart of a Cowboy

As kids transition from childhood to adulthood during their adolescent years (John Eldredge calls this the "Cowboy" stage in Fathered by God), the overriding question they're trying to answer is, "Do I have what it takes?" It's our job as fathers to help ensure that they're able to answer that question with a resounding Yes! The best proving grounds for initiation through this crucial life stage are adventure and hard work. In this episode, Brett and Perry discuss practical ways to have meaningful adventures with your kids as well as how to shape resilience and grit through challenging work opportunities.
