from Safe Dividend Investing · host Ian Duncan MacDonald

Send us Fan Mail Welcome to Safe Dividend Investing’s Podcast # 85, on October 12th of 2022.  Today, I answer seven interesting investment questions:1. Why are you so hard on financial advisors? Most advisors work strictly for the betterment of their clients. I also know without a doubt that financial companies have a zero-tolerance policy for advisors who operate otherwise. I resent your implication that the typical financial advisor’s recommendations are more concerned with his compensation than the well-being of their clients?  2. Would you agree that financial advisors recommend annuities as an investment because they offer both zero-downside risk and have tremendous upside potential, not because it is part of their compensation?  3. Is there a risk in buying a stock for its dividend? 4. Why do investors panic during a stock market crash?  5. Should I pay a financial advisor to select the stocks for my portfolio, or should I do it myself?   6. Is it possible to set up a stock portfolio without having to constantly spend hours on research and paperwork? 7. If there is always a reason behind stock price movements, does it create predictable patterns?            ****************************************************************   The objective of these podcasts is to turn all investors into successful, self-directed, financially independent investors.  For more insights into investing and stock scoring, go to, www.saferbetterdividendinvesting.com.  Investment books by Ian Duncan MacDonald: American High Dividend Handbook - (3.5% + NYSE & NASDAQ dividend stocks)Canadian High Dividend Handbook - (3.5% + dividend stocks on the TSX)Safer Better Dividend Investing  - (US & Canada high dividend stocks)Income and Wealth from Self-Directed Investing - (trials of a new investor)All books are available from amazon.com as e-books or in print: Those purchasing an investment book can request the IDM stock scoring software at no additional charge. Check out Ian's three novels at amazon.com. Beware the Abandoned - (a capitalist sect exploiting poverty); Using Drought USA -  (solving the South West drought);Duel - (Repercussions of establishing a Chinese military base in the Caribbean).  If you are interested in Ian's art, visit his Fine Art America website a https://fineartamerica.com/profiles/ian-macdonald Ian Duncan MacDonald Author and Commercial Risk Consultant,President of  Informus Inc                              2 Vista Humber Drive                               Toronto, Ontario                                Canada, M9P 3R7                                 Toronto Telephone - 416-245-4994                                   [email protected]
