#70 - "Mijn grootouders moesten toekijken hoe alle Joodse inwoners werden doodgeschoten"

De Poolse arts Dolek Guensberg was één van de dappere mannen die geholpen heeft ons land te bevrijden van de Duitse bezetting tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog. Dolek was Joods en vocht om zijn familie in Polen te bevrijden, om er aan het eind van de oorlog achter te komen dat dat tevergeefs was. Hij raakte bijna zijn gehele familie kwijt. Dochter en schrijfster Miriam Guensberg dook in het verleden van haar vader en schreef het boek: Held zonder vaderland. Haar vader praatte niet graag over zijn vermoorde ouders en zijn Joodse roots in Polen, maar Miriam heeft het verhaal toch op papier kunnen zetten en zo geprobeerd hun onbekende verhaal alsnog te vertellen. Ze gaat met presentator Rose Heijnen in gesprek over haar boek.
