Lower Decks and shorter Star Trek seasons. In April of 2024, Paramount+ announced renewals and endings of Star Trek series. Star Trek: Strange New Worlds was renewed for a fourth season, but sadly Lower Decks Season Five (as of the time of publishing, still airing on Paramount+) was announced to be its final season.
