72. Feel Your Feelings: Using Emotions for Healing, Habit Change, and Spiritual Alignment
from Aligned & Powerful w/ Andrea Andree
In this episode, I open up about a particularly "purgy" week - lots of crying, processing, and journaling - sparked in part by the full moon.Because of the intensity, I almost skipped recording an episode this week… but instead, I leaned into it and am discussing something I believe could change everything: actually feeling your feelings. I've realized that learning to process and understand our emotions is a "cheat code" to life. Emotions are rich with information - both biological and spiritual - and are far from being the "weakness" they were attributed to when we were kids. Key Points:Emotions are biological, not weakness - they exist to keep us safe (fear, for example, is the body protecting itself)Every emotion has three parts: physical sensation → mental story → behavioral responseUnwanted habits (scrolling, sugar, alcohol, overexercising) are often just distraction from unfelt feelings - process the feeling, and the habit can dissolveEmotions are also a spiritual guidance system: expansive = aligned, constricted = something's offHigher-vibration energy can trigger individual and collective emotional purgingPractical tools for moving emotions through: walking, breathwork, shaking, and movementFeeling your feelings isn't just personal work - it's how we make the world better 🎙️Related Episodes:69.
