720. Habakkuk - Chapter 1 (#2) - Reading God's Word will Bring long life and Peace to you - January 3, 2025

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. On today's podcast we will be reading Proverb 3. I will then key in on verses 1 & 2 - My son, do not forget my law, But let your heart keep my commands; For length of days and long life And peace they will add to you. Friends, what a promise of God! On today's podcast I will continue my brief study of the minor prophet Habakkuk, which I began yesterday. I mentioned yesterday that the reason I chose this particular prophet to study is because Habakkuk is the only one of all the prophets that actually questioned God. I think that is useful to know - as I believe many people have questions for God today as well. The good news is that God never got upset with Habakkuk for asking these questions. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider: 1. Are you not from everlasting, O Lord my God, my Holy One? 2. Why do You look on those who deal treacherously, And hold Your tongue when the wicked devours A p[erson more righteous than he? 3. Shall they therefore empty their net, And continued to slay nations without pity? Call to Action - Are you invested in the Word of God? Do you read it on a regular basis? Are you interested in having long life and peace in your life?
