What an eye-opening conversation Alicia had with the amazing Jennifer Boudrye! Jennifer was so gracious to share with us how parenting transgender kids is a learning lesson that challenges us to be our best selves! Jennifer Boudrye is the founder of Parent With Care LLC where she helps parents of LGBTQ+ youth, teens, and young adults to understand, connect with, and celebrate their kiddos through 1:1 and group coaching, workshops, and presentations. Jennifer is the parent of 3 adult children, one of whom is bisexual, and the bonus parent to a transgender man. She holds master’s degrees in library science and educational leadership and is a certified parent coach through the Jai Institute for Parenting. She serves as the Education Director for Equality Loudoun in Loudoun County, VA; and she facilitates a parent support group for the Ryan Bartel Foundation, a nonprofit working to end teen suicide.
