#74: The Difference Between Matter & Life | Heart of Jesus – Ep. 4

from Breaking Trail · host Balakhilya and Ruben

“But we know that if the earthly tent, which is our house, is torn down, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. Indeed, in this house, we groan, longing to be in our heavenly house.” 2 Corinthians 5:1 Today we explore the distinction between the material and spiritual worlds. We delve into the concept of false ego and the eternal nature of the spiritual self, contrasting it with the temporary nature of material existence.  Drawing from spiritual texts such as the Bhagavad-gita and the Holy Bible, we discuss the cyclical nature of the material creation process and the eternal, unchanging nature of the spiritual world.  You’ll hear us discuss scientific theories such as the Big Bang and emphasice the importance of accepting spiritual truth. We highlight the concept of the spiritual world as our true home and discuss the idea of serving as a right hand man to God; just like Jesus showed, we are subordinate in relation to the Supreme. Throughout the episode, we stress the importance of understanding and embracing the spiritual aspects of life over the material. Highlights: (3:48) Bible and Bhagavad-gita compared (11:13) Material world mirrors spiritual world's eternal truth (18:49) Trying to make sense of the big bang (23:39) Spirit soul brings order to the body (31:27) Temporary physical relationships can become eternal spiritual connections (38:37) The spiritual sparks share God’s qualities (43:39) Our position is to serve Recorded November 6, 2023.
