#75 with Morgane Koresh - Intersectionality & the reception of jewish feminist voices in the aftermath of October 7th

Morgane was born and raised in Paris, France. They studied Fashion Design there, before making Aliyah in 2009. Coming from a family of Holocaust survivors, with a deep sense of political activism, where civil rights and social justice were at the forefront of many family discussions, Morgane always knew that activism would be a part of their life. It took the form of street art with the feminist collective HaStickeriot that they co-founded in 2020. While still being an active member of the collective, Morgane has been also focusing on Queer activism under the alias YiddishFeminist with drawings and messages of positive Queer representation in the form of pasteups in the streets of Tel Aviv.. After October 7th, Morgane’s work has been mainly focused on denouncing the lack of international outrage, the betrayal by previous feminist role-models, and calling out the rise of antisemitism as well as uplifting messages about Jewish identities. The streets of Tel Aviv remain their main playground and inspiration for a work that is at the crossroad of art and activism.
