76. The Audacity to Disrupt

from Embracing Enough · host Dina Scippa

In this first episode of Season 4, Dina unpacks her word for 2023: DISRUPT. Deciding to dedicate this entire season to disrupters, she shares her earliest story of being a disrupter in her career and discusses the pros and cons to disrupt certain narratives and toxic systems. She reflects on how earlier in her career, she was afraid of being "too disruptive"; but how now being firmly planted in full-time entrepreneurship, she feels completely comfortable in owning that title of DISRUPTER with confidence. We define what it means to be a disrupter in this episode. Simply put, we see it as someone who is brave enough to challenge the status quo and introduce new and innovative ideas. It’s about thinking outside the box, taking a risk, and not being afraid to fail in the face of experimenting with a different perspective. The hope in this episode is to get clear on your personal definition of what it means to be a disrupter; and identify the areas of where you could be taking more risks to disrupt any limiting beliefs.  Be sure to rate this episode and subscribe to the show.
