Before moving on again, Léon returns to the place where he first met Hendrik in 2017. The record collection, which was previously characterized by hip-hop, jazz and reggae, finds its electronic origins here. Somewhere between trip-hop, deep house, spherical ambient and dubby techno, Léon is always on the lookout for new music to float with you through the night. Born and raised in the Ruhr area, Hennig, fka Hendrik Flügel, had limited access to electronic music. But after moving to Bonn and attending his first raves, his love for deep, melancholic and breaking beats took hold. In 2018, he was one of the founders of einausflug.de, now one of the city's most thriving underground music event collectives. When Hendrik told his girlfriend that he was supposed to write something about the nightlife in Bonn, she said, that there was nothing to write about. In fact Bonn’s underground music scene has had some tough years, with almost all electronic clubs closing down within the last 10 years. Recently, however, some strong collectives, such as balavagn, C13, KOMM RAVEN and einausflug, have been able to establish themselves trying to keep the party going in the former capital of Germany.
