Send me a message!!!7th Day of Lent –By Nancy Grace Joy –  God’s Forgiveness Jesus died once for all your sins, so you could have fellowship (relationship) with Him foreverHebrews 10:12-14:  But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God, 13 and since that time he waits for his enemies to be made his footstool. 14 For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.1 John 1:3 We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. Remember that God does not have an apology-based economy for sins, but a blood-based economy Luke 22:20  In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for youHebrews 9:22 says without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness. Jesus shed His blood once, and it worked the first time – no repeat needed. Therefore, a believer is a totally forgiven person – past, present, and future Yes, as a believer we are called to agree with God about sin and turn from sin, but these don’t make us more forgiven. It is finished! When We Hurt God with Our ChoicesGod has created every person in this world with a plan and a purpose in mind. He also set basic standards into motion, such as gravity, buoyancy, seedtime, and harvest, good and evil. Often when we do or say or think things that cross a line somewhere, there is another person who is hurt due to our actions - or even sometimes, our inaction. Whenever we cross those lines, we have also hurt God. The Bible calls these crossed lines sin. Sin is anything that goes against God's best plans for our lives. Sin is what we do or don't do that fails to meet His standards. Before you judge God and call Him out for having such a high bar for us to reach, first consider that He also made way for us to be forgiven for those sins - for those times that we fail to meet His standards. What the Bible Says about ForgivenessThe life, death, and resurrection of Jesus that we read about in the New Testament of the Bible is ultimately the story of how we find atonement for our sins.
