Shall I then take your son back to the country you came from?”“The Lord, the God of heaven, who brought me out of my father’s household and my native land and who spoke to me and promised me on oath, saying, ‘To your offspring[a] I will give this land’—he will send his angel before you so that you can get a wife for my son from there. 10 Then the servant left, taking with him ten of his master’s camels loaded with all kinds of good things from his master. He set out for Aram Naharaim[b] and made his way to the town of Nahor. 11 He had the camels kneel down near the well outside the town; it was toward evening, the time the women go out to draw water.15 Before he had finished praying, Rebekah came out with her jar on her shoulder. She was the daughter of Bethuel son of Milkah, who was the wife of Abraham’s brother Nahor. 16 The woman was very beautiful, a virgin; no man had ever slept with her. She went down to the spring, filled her jar and came up again.17 The servant hurried to meet her and said, “Please give me a little water from your jar.”18 “Drink, my lord,” she said, and quickly lowered the jar to her hands and gave him a drink.19 After she had given him a drink, she said, “I’ll draw water for your camels too, until they have had enough to drink.” 224 She answered him, “I am the daughter of Bethuel, the son that Milkah bore to Nahor.” 25 And she added, “We have plenty of straw and fodder, as well as room for you to spend the night.”26 Then the man bowed down and worshiped the Lord, 27 saying, “Praise be to the Lord, the God of my master Abraham, who has not abandoned his kindness and faithfulness to my master. As for me, the Lord has led me on the journey to the house of my master’s relatives.”46 “She quickly lowered her jar from her shoulder and said, ‘Drink, and I’ll water your camels too.’ So I drank, and she watered the camels also.47 “I asked her, ‘Whose daughter are you?’“She said, ‘The daughter of Bethuel son of Nahor, whom Milkah bore to him.’“Then I put the ring in her nose and the bracelets on her arms, 48 and I bowed down and worshiped the Lord. I praised the Lord, the God of my master Abraham, who had led me on the right road to get the granddaughter of my master’s brother for his son. 49 Now if you will show kindness and faithfulness to my master, tell me; and if not, tell me, so I may know which way to turn.”50 Laban and Bethuel answered, “This is from the Lord; we can say nothing to you one way or the other. 51 Here is Rebekah; take her and go, and let her become the wife of your master’s son, as the Lord has directed.”52 When Abraham’s servant heard what they said, he bowed down to the ground before the Lord. 53 Then the servant brought out gold and silver jewelry and articles of clothing and gave them to Rebekah; he also gave costly gifts to her brother and to her mother. 54 Then he and the men who were with him ate and drank and spent the night there. Then they said, “Let’s call the young woman and ask her about it.” 58 So they called Rebekah and asked her, “Will you go with this man?”“I will go,” she said.59 So they sent their sister Rebekah on her way, along with her nurse and Abraham’s servant and his men. 60 And they blessed Rebekah and said to her,“Our sister, may you increase to thousands upon thousands;may your offspring possess the cities of their enemies.”61 Then Rebekah and her attendants got ready and mounted the camels and went back with the man. So the servant took Rebekah and left.66 Then the servant told Isaac all he had done. 67 Isaac brought her into the tent of his mother Sarah, and he married Rebekah. So she became his wife, and he loved her; and Isaac was comforted after his mother’s death.#Genesis24 , #Genesis25 , #Genesis26 , #Genesis27 , #isaac , #rebekah ,#isaacandrebekah , #laban , #camels , #bible365, #nancygracejoy, #bibleinayear, #thebible, #thenivbible, #nancybibleinayear, #readthebibleinayear, www.NancyJoy2U.com, #nancystallard, #nancygracejoy, #biblestudy, #godsword, #godswisdom, #wisdom, #kingsolomonwisdom, #BibleReading, #BibleStudy, #JesusTime, #dailybiblestudy, #verseaday, #quiettimewithgod, #faithinjesus, #god, #jesus, #salvation, #salvationinjesus, #believingingod, #GodsWord,#newtestament, #oldtestament , I am Nancy Joy and I love to start each day with a morning meditation! Send me a message!!!Bible 365 Day #47 with Nancy Grace Joy using The Variety Plan! Romans 13-14 Read the Bible in a Year#Romans13 , #Romans14Submission to Governing Authorities13 Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2 Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended. 4 For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. 5 Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience.6 This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, who give their full time to governing. 7 Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.Love Fulfills the Law8 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law. 9 The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,”[a] and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”10 Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.The Day Is Near11 And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. 12 The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. 13 Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. 14 Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh. #Romans13 , #Romans14,#TheDayIsNear , #desriesofflesh , #loveyourneighbor , #loveyourneighborasyourself , #giverespect , #submittogod #submittogoverningauthorities , #paytaxes , #givehonor ,#bible365, #nancygracejoy, #bibleinayear, #thebible, #thenivbible, #nancybibleinayear, #readthebibleinayear, www.NancyJoy2U.com, #nancystallard, #nancygracejoy, #biblestudy, #godsword, #godswisdom, #wisdom, #kingsolomonwisdom, #BibleReading, #BibleStudy, #JesusTime, #dailybiblestudy, #verseaday, #quiettimewithgod, #faithinjesus, #god, #jesus, #salvation, #salvationinjesus, #believingingod, #GodsWord,#newtestament, #oldtestament , I am Nancy Joy and I love to start each day with a morning meditation! Send me a message!!!Bible 365 Day #46 with Nancy Grace Joy using The Variety Plan! Matthew 17-18 Read the Bible in a Year #Matthew17 , #matthew18 Matthew 17 - The Transfiguration17 After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James and John the brother of James, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. 2 There he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light. 3 Just then there appeared before them Moses and Elijah, talking with Jesus.4 Peter said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here. If you wish, I will put up three shelters—one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.”5 While he was still speaking, a bright cloud covered them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!”6 When the disciples heard this, they fell facedown to the ground, terrified. 7 But Jesus came and touched them. “Get up,” he said. “Don’t be afraid.” 8 When they looked up, they saw no one except Jesus.9 As they were coming down the mountain, Jesus instructed them, “Don’t tell anyone what you have seen, until the Son of Man has been raised from the dead.”10 The disciples asked him, “Why then do the teachers of the law say that Elijah must come first?”11 Jesus replied, “To be sure, Elijah comes and will restore all things. 12 But I tell you, Elijah has already come, and they did not recognize him, but have done to him everything they wished. In the same way the Son of Man is going to suffer at their hands.” 13 Then the disciples understood that he was talking to them about John the Baptist.Jesus Heals a Demon-Possessed Boy14 When they came to the crowd, a man approached Jesus and knelt before him. 15 “Lord, have mercy on my son,” he said. “He has seizures and is suffering greatly. He often falls into the fire or into the water. 16 I brought him to your disciples, but they could not heal him.”17 “You unbelieving and perverse generation,” Jesus replied, “how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy here to me.” 18 Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of the boy, and he was healed at that moment.19 Then the disciples came to Jesus in private and asked, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?”20 He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” [21] [a]Jesus Predicts His Death a Second Time22 When they came together in Galilee, he said to them, “The Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of men. 23 They will kill him, and on the third day he will be raised to life.” And the disciples were filled with grief. The Temple Tax24 After Jesus and his disciples arrived in Capernaum, the collectors of the two-drachma temple tax came to Peter and asked, “Doesn’t your teacher pay the temple tax?”25 “Yes, he does,” he replied. When Peter came into the house, Jesus was the first to speak. “What do you think, Simon?” he asked. “From whom do the kings of the earth collect duty and taxes—from their own children or from others?”26 “From others,” Peter answered.“Then the children are exempt,” Jesus said to him. 27 “But so that we may not cause offense, go to the lake and throw out your line. Take the first fish you catch; open its mouth and you will find a four-drachma coin. Take it and give it to them for my tax and yours.”Matthew 18 The Greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven18 At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who, then, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”2 He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. 3 And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. 4 Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. 5 And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.Causing to StumbleThe Parable of the Wandering SheepDealing With Sin in the ChurchThe Parable of the Unmerciful Servant#Matthew17 , #matthew18#bible365, #nancygracejoy, #bibleinayear, #thebible, #thenivbible, #nancybibleinayear, #readthebibleinayear, www.NancyJoy2U.com, #nancystallard, #nancygracejoy, #biblestudy, #godsword, #godswisdom, #wisdom, #kingsolomonwisdom, #BibleReading, #BibleStudy, #JesusTime, #dailybiblestudy, #verseaday, #quiettimewithgod, #faithinjesus, #god, #jesus, #salvation, #salvationinjesus, #believingingod, #GodsWord,#newtestament, #oldtestament , #transfiguration , #Transfigurationofjesus , #jesustempletax , #templetax , #jesuspredictshisdeath , #demonpossedboy , #wanderingsheep , #GreatestinKingdomofHeaven , #KingdomofHeaven , I am Nancy Joy and I love to start each day with a morning meditation! There was nothing in his palace or in all his kingdom that Hezekiah did not show them.3 Then Isaiah the prophet went to King Hezekiah and asked, “What did those men say, and where did they come from?”5 Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, “Hear the word of the Lord Almighty: 6 The time will surely come when everything in your palace, and all that your predecessors have stored up until this day, will be carried off to Babylon. Nothing will be left, says the Lord. 7 And some of your descendants, your own flesh and blood who will be born to you, will be taken away, and they will become eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.”8 “The word of the Lord you have spoken is good,” Hezekiah replied. For he thought, “There will be peace and security in my lifetime.”#bible365, #nancygracejoy, #bibleinayear, #thebible, #thenivbible, #nancybibleinayear, #readthebibleinayear, www.NancyJoy2U.com, #nancystallard, #nancygracejoy, #biblestudy, #godsword, #godswisdom, #wisdom, #kingsolomonwisdom, #BibleReading, #BibleStudy, #JesusTime, #dailybiblestudy, #verseaday, #quiettimewithgod, #faithinjesus, #god, #jesus, #salvation, #salvationinjesus, #believingingod, #GodsWord,#newtestament, #oldtestament ,#job13 , #job14 #jobandgod , #bibleinayear, #nancygracejoy, #thebible, #thenivbible, #bible365, #nancybibleinayear, #readthebibleinayear, #manwastesaway , I am Nancy Joy and I love to start each day with a morning meditation! For you, that would be wisdom.6 Hear now my argument; listen to the pleas of my lips.7 Will you speak wickedly on God’s behalf? Will you speak deceitfully for him?8 Will you show him partiality? Will you argue the case for God?9 Would it turn out well if he examined you? Could you deceive him as you might deceive a mortal?10 He would surely call you to account if you secretly showed partiality.11 Would not his splendor terrify you? Would not the dread of him fall on you?12 Your maxims are proverbs of ashes; your defenses are defenses of clay.13 “Keep silent and let me speak; then let come to me what may.14 Why do I put myself in jeopardy and take my life in my hands?15 Though he slay me, yet will I hope in him; I will surely[a] defend my ways to his face.16 Indeed, this will turn out for my deliverance, for no godless person would dare come before him!17 Listen carefully to what I say; let my words ring in your ears.18 Now that I have prepared my case, I know I will be vindicated.19 Can anyone bring charges against me? If so, I will be silent and die.20 “Only grant me these two things, God, and then I will not hide from you:21 Withdraw your hand far from me, and stop frightening me with your terrors.22 Then summon me and I will answer, or let me speak, and you reply to me.23 How many wrongs and sins have I committed? Show me my offense and my sin.24 Why do you hide your face and consider me your enemy?25 Will you torment a windblown leaf? Will you chase after dry chaff?26 For you write down bitter things against me and make me reap the sins of my youth.27 You fasten my feet in shackles; you keep close watch on all my paths by putting marks on the soles of my feet.28 “So man wastes away like something rotten, like a garment eaten by moths. #job13 , #job14 #jobandgod , #bibleinayear, #nancygracejoy, #thebible, #thenivbible, #bible365, #nancybibleinayear, #readthebibleinayear, www.NancyJoy2U.com, #nancystallard, #nancygracejoy, #biblestudy, #godsword, #godswisdom, #wisdom, #kingsolomonwisdom, #BibleReading, #BibleStudy, #JesusTime, #dailybiblestudy, #verseaday, #quiettimewithgod, #faithinjesus, #god, #jesus, #salvation, #salvationinjesus, #believingingod, #GodsWord,#newtestament, #oldtestament , #manwastesaway , I am Nancy Joy and I love to start each day with a morning meditation! Psalm 18-20 Read the Bible in a Year #psalm18, #psalm19, #psalm20Bible is:BasicInstructionsBeforeLeavingEarth Psalm 18 I love you, Lord, my strength.2 The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield[b] and the horn[c] of my salvation, my stronghold.3 I called to the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and I have been saved from my enemies.4 The cords of death entangled me; the torrents of destruction overwhelmed me.5 The cords of the grave coiled around me; the snares of death confronted me.6 In my distress I called to the Lord; I cried to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came before him, into his ears.7 The earth trembled and quaked, and the foundations of the mountains shook; they trembled because he was angry.8 Smoke rose from his nostrils; consuming fire came from his mouth, burning coals blazed out of it.9 He parted the heavens and came down; dark clouds were under his feet.10 He mounted the cherubim and flew; he soared on the wings of the wind.11 He made darkness his covering, his canopy around him— the dark rain clouds of the sky.12 Out of the brightness of his presence clouds advanced, with hailstones and bolts of lightning.13 The Lord thundered from heaven; the voice of the Most High resounded.[d]14 He shot his arrows and scattered the enemy, with great bolts of lightning he routed them.15 The valleys of the sea were exposed and the foundations of the earth laid bareat your rebuke, Lord, at the blast of breath from your nostrils.16 He reached down from on high and took hold of me; he drew me out of deep waters.17 He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes, who were too strong for me.18 They confronted me in the day of my disaster, but the Lord was my support.19 He brought me out into a spacious place; he rescued me because he delighted in me.20 The Lord has dealt with me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands he has rewarded me.21 For I have kept the ways of the Lord; I am not guilty of turning from my God.22 All his laws are before me; I have not turned away from his decrees.23 I have been blameless before him and have kept myself from sin.24 The Lord has rewarded me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his sight.25 To the faithful you show yourself faithful, to the blameless you show yourself blameless,26 to the pure you show yourself pure, but to the devious you show yourself shrewd.27 You save the humble but bring low those whose eyes are haughty.28 You, Lord, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light.29 With your help I can advance against a troop[e]; with my God I can scale a wall.30 As for God, his way is perfect: The Lord’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him.31 For who is God besides the Lord? And who is the Rock except our God?32 It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure.33 He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he causes me to stand on the heights.34 He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bronze.35 You make your saving help my shield, and your right hand sustains me; your help has made me great.36 You provide a broad path for my feet, so that my ankles do not give way.37 I pursued my enemies and overtook them; I did not turn back till they were destroyed.38 I crushed them so that they could not rise; they fell beneath my feet.39 You armed me with strength for battle; you humbled my adversaries before me.40 You made my enemies turn their backs in flight, and I destroyed my foes.41 They cried for help, but there was no one to save them— to the Lord, but he did not answer.42 I beat them as fine as windblown dust; I trampled them[f] like mud in the streets.43 You have delivered me from the attacks of the people; you have made me the head of nations.People I did not know now serve me,44 foreigners cower before me; as soon as they hear of me, they obey me.45 They all lose heart; they come trembling from their strongholds.46 The Lord lives! Yet I have borne him a son in his old age.”Hagar and Ishmael Sent Away8 The child grew and was weaned, and on the day Isaac was weaned Abraham held a great feast. 9 But Sarah saw that the son whom Hagar the Egyptian had borne to Abraham was mocking, 10 and she said to Abraham, “Get rid of that slave woman and her son, for that woman’s son will never share in the inheritance with my son Isaac.”11 The matter distressed Abraham greatly because it concerned his son. 12 But God said to him, “Do not be so distressed about the boy and your slave woman. Listen to whatever Sarah tells you, because it is through Isaac that your offspring[b] will be reckoned. 13 I will make the son of the slave into a nation also, because he is your offspring.”14 Early the next morning Abraham took some food and a skin of water and gave them to Hagar. He set them on her shoulders and then sent her off with the boy. She went on her way and wandered in the Desert of Beersheba.15 When the water in the skin was gone, she put the boy under one of the bushes. 16 Then she went off and sat down about a bowshot away, for she thought, “I cannot watch the boy die.” And as she sat there, she[c] began to sob.17 God heard the boy crying, and the angel of God called to Hagar from heaven and said to her, “What is the matter, Hagar? Do not be afraid; God has heard the boy crying as he lies there. 18 Lift the boy up and take him by the hand, for I will make him into a great nation.”19 Then God opened her eyes and she saw a well of water. So she went and filled the skin with water and gave the boy a drink.20 God was with the boy as he grew up. He lived in the desert and became an archer. 21 While he was living in the Desert of Paran, his mother got a wife for him from Egypt. The Treaty at BeershebaAbraham TestedGenesis 22 Some time later God tested Abraham. He said to him, “Abraham!”“Here I am,” he replied.2 Then God said, “Take your son, your only son, whom you love—Isaac—and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on a mountain I will show you.”3 Early the next morning Abraham got up and loaded his donkey. He took with him two of his servants and his son Isaac. When he had cut enough wood for the burnt offering, he set out for the place God had told him about. Abraham took the wood for the burnt offering and placed it on his son Isaac, and he himself carried the fire and the knife. As the two of them went on together, Isaac spoke up “The fire and wood are here,” Isaac said, “but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?” Abraham answered, “God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son.” And the two of them went on together. When they reached the place God had told him about, Abraham built an altar there and arranged the wood on it. He bound his son Isaac and laid him on the altar, on top of the wood. Then he reached out his hand and took the knife to slay his son. 11 But the angel of the Lord called out to him from heaven, “Abraham! “Do not lay a hand on the boy,” he said. “Do not do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me your son, your only son.”13 Abraham looked up took the ram and sacrificed it as a burnt offering instead of his son. 1So Abraham called that place The Lord Will Provide. A15 The angel of the Lord because you have done this and have not withheld your son, your only son, I will surely bless you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore. through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed because you have obeyed me.”#genesis20 , #genesis21 , #genesis22 , #genesis23,#abraham , #abimelech , #hagar #ishmael , #abrahamandisaac , #isaac , #abrahamsacrificeisaac , #bible365, #nancygracejoy, #bibleinayear, #thebible. #thenivbible, #nancybibleinayear, #readthebibleinayear, www.NancyJoy2U.com, #nancystallard, #nancygracejoy, #biblestudy, #godsword, #godswisdom, #wisdom, #kingsolomonwisdom, #BibleReading, #BibleStudy, #JesusTime, #dailybiblestudy, #verseaday, #quiettimewithgod, #faithinjesus, #god, #jesus, #salvation, #salvationinjesus, #believingingod, #GodsWord, I am Nancy Joy and I love to start each day with a morning meditation! Send me a message!!!Bible 365 Day #34 with Nancy Grace Joy using The Variety Plan! Genesis 16-19 Read the Bible in a Yearhe Three Visitors18 The Lord appeared to Abraham near the great trees of Mamre while he was sitting at the entrance to his tent in the heat of the day. 2 Abraham looked up and saw three men standing nearby. When he saw them, he hurried from the entrance of his tent to meet them and bowed low to the ground.3 He said, “If I have found favor in your eyes, my lord,[a] do not pass your servant by. 4 Let a little water be brought, and then you may all wash your feet and rest under this tree. 5 Let me get you something to eat, so you can be refreshed and then go on your way—now that you have come to your servant.”“Very well,” they answered, “do as you say.”6 So Abraham hurried into the tent to Sarah. “Quick,” he said, “get three seahs[b] of the finest flour and knead it and bake some bread.”7 Then he ran to the herd and selected a choice, tender calf and gave it to a servant, who hurried to prepare it. 8 He then brought some curds and milk and the calf that had been prepared, and set these before them. While they ate, he stood near them under a tree.9 “Where is your wife Sarah?” they asked him.“There, in the tent,” he said.10 Then one of them said, “I will surely return to you about this time next year, and Sarah your wife will have a son.”Now Sarah was listening at the entrance to the tent, which was behind him. 11 Abraham and Sarah were already very old, and Sarah was past the age of childbearing. 12 So Sarah laughed to herself as she thought, “After I am worn out and my lord is old, will I now have this pleasure?”13 Then the Lord said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh and say, ‘Will I really have a child, now that I am old?’ 14 Is anything too hard for the Lord? I will return to you at the appointed time next year, and Sarah will have a son.”15 Sarah was afraid, so she lied and said, “I did not laugh.”But he said, “Yes, you did laugh.”Abraham Pleads for Sodom16 When the men got up to leave, they looked down toward Sodom, and Abraham walked along with them to see them on their way. 17 Then the Lord said, “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do? 18 Abraham will surely become a great and powerful nation, and all nations on earth will be blessed through him.[c] 19 For I have chosen him, so that he will direct his children and his household after him to keep the way of the Lord by doing what is right and just, so that the Lord will bring about for Abraham what he has promised him.”20 Then the Lord said, “The outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is so great and their sin so grievous 21 that I will go down and see if what they have done is as bad as the outcry that has reached me. If not, I will know.”22 The men turned away and went toward Sodom, but Abraham remained standing before the Lord.[d] 23 Then Abraham approached him and said: “Will you sweep away the righteous with the wicked? 24 What if there are fifty righteous people in the city? Will you really sweep it away and not spare[e] the place for the sake of the fifty righteous people in it? 25 Far be it from you to do such a thing—to kill the righteous with the wicked, treating the righteous and the wicked alike. Far be it from you! Will not the Judge of all the earth do right?”26 The Lord said, “If I find fifty righteous people in the city of Sodom, I will spare the whole place for their sake.”27 Then Abraham spoke up again: “Now that I have been so bold as to speak to the Lord, though I am nothing but dust and ashes, 28 what if the number of the righteous is five less than fifty? Will you destroy the whole city for lack of five people?”“If I find forty-five there,” he said, “I will not destroy it.”29 Once again he spoke to him, “What if only forty are found there?”He said, “For the sake of forty, I will not do it.”30 Then he said, “May the Lord not be angry, but let me speak. What if only thirty can be found there?”He answered, “I will not do it if I find thirty there.”31 Abraham said, “Now that I have been so bold as to speak to the Lord, what if only twenty can be found there?”He said, “For the sake of twenty, I will not destroy it.”32 Then he said, “May the Lord not be angry, but let me speak just once more. What if only ten can be found there?”He answered, “For the sake of ten, I will not destroy it.”33 When the Lord had finished speaking with Abraham, he left, and Abraham returned home.#Genesis16 , #Geness17 , #Genesis18 , #Genesis19 , #AbrahamandLot , #Abraham , #AbrahamandSarah #Abram&Sarai , #godscovenanttoAbraham , #sodomandgomorrah , #sodomburns , #lotswife , #pillarofsalt , #gomorrahburns , #lotsdaughters , #bibleinayear, #nancygracejoy, #thebible. #thenivbible, #bible365, #nancybibleinayear, #readthebibleinayear, www.NancyJoy2U.com, #nancystallard, #nancygracejoy, #biblestudy, #godsword, #godswisdom, #wisdom, #kingsolomonwisdom, #BibleReading, #BibleStudy, #JesusTime, #dailybiblestudy, #verseaday, #quiettimewithgod, #faithinjesus, #god, #jesus, #salvation, #salvationinjesus, #believingingod, #GodsWord, I am Nancy Joy and I love to start each day with a morning meditation! For not all who are descended from Israel are Israel. Nor because they are his descendants are they all Abraham’s children. On the contrary, “It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.”[b] 8 In other words, it is not the children by physical descent who are God’s children, but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as Abraham’s offspring. 9 For this was how the promise was stated: “At the appointed time I will return, and Sarah will have a son.”[c]“I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.”16 It does not, therefore, depend on human desire or effort, but on God’s mercy. 17 For Scripture says to Pharaoh: “I raised you up for this very purpose, that I might display my power in you and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.”[g] 18 Therefore God has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy, and he hardens whom he wants to harden 25 As he says in Hosea:“I will call them ‘my people’ who are not my people; and I will call her ‘my loved one’ who is not my loved one,”[i]Israel’s Unbelief33 As it is written:“See, I lay in Zion a stone that causes people to stumble and a rock that makes them fall, and the one who believes in him will never be put to shame.”[m]Romans 10 Brothers and sisters, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for the Israelites is that they may be saved5 Moses writes this about the righteousness that is by the law: “The person who does these things will live by them.” 6 But the righteousness that is by faith says: “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’”[b] (that is, to bring Christ down) 7 “or ‘Who will descend into the deep?’” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). 8 But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,”[d] that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim: 9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. 11 As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.”[e] 12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”[14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 15 And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”[g]16 But not all the Israelites accepted the good news. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our message?”[h] 17 Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ. 18 But I ask: Did they not hear? Of course they did:“Their voice has gone out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.”[i]19 Again I ask: Did Israel not understand? First, Moses says,“I will make you envious by those who are not a nation; I will make you angry by a nation that has no understanding.”[j]20 And Isaiah boldly says,“I was found by those who did not seek me; I revealed myself to those who did not ask for me.”[k]21 But concerning Israel he says,“All day long I have held out my hands to a disobedient and obstinate people.”#bibleinayear, #nancygracejoy, #thebible. #thenivbible, #bible365, #nancybibleinayear, #readthebibleinayear, www.NancyJoy2U.com, #nancystallard, #nancygracejoy, #biblestudy, #godsword, #godswisdom, #wisdom, #kingsolomonwisdom, #BibleReading, #BibleStudy, #JesusTime, #dailybiblestudy, #verseaday, #quiettimewithgod, #faithinjesus, #god, #jesus, #salvation, #salvationinjesus, #believingingod, #GodsWord,#IsraelUnbelief , #PaulsAnguishOverIsrael , #israelites , #heartbelieveinheart , #believe , #believeandarejustified,#professwithmouth , #professyourfaith , #youaresaved I am Nancy Joy and I love to start each day with a morning meditation! A reed swayed by the wind? 8 If not, what did you go out to see? Then what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and more than a prophet. 10 This is the one about whom it is written:“‘I will send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way before you.’[c]11 Truly I tell you, among those born of women there has not risen anyone greater than John the Baptist; yet whoever is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. 15 Whoever has ears, let them hear.16 “To what can I compare this generation? They are like children sitting in the marketplaces and calling out to others:17 “‘We played the pipe for you, and you did not dance;we sang a dirge, and you did not mourn.’18 For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, ‘He has a demon.’ 19 The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.’ But wisdom is proved right by her deeds.”Woe on Unrepentant Towns20 Then Jesus began to denounce the towns in which most of his miracles had been performed, because they did not repent. 21 “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. 22 But I tell you, it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon on the day of judgment than for you. But I tell you that it will be more bearable for Sodom on the day of judgment than for you.”The Father Revealed in the Son25 At that time Jesus said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. 26 Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do.28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”Jesus Is Lord of the Sabbath 2 When the Pharisees saw this, they said to him, “Look! Your disciples are doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath.” ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice,’[a] you would not have condemned the innocent. 8 For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.” Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.”So he stretched it out and it was completely restored, just as sound as the other. 14 But the Pharisees went out and plotted how they might kill Jesus.God’s Chosen ServantJesus and Beelzebul “Could this be the Son of David?”Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand. 26 If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand? 30 “Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.33 “Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its fruit. 34 You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? The Sign of Jonah39 He answered, “A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a sign! But none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. 40 For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.Jesus’ Mother and Brothers#bibleinayear, #nancygracejoy, #thebible. #thenivbible, #bible365, #nancybibleinayear, #readthebibleinayear, www.NancyJoy2U.com, #nancystallard, #nancygracejoy, #biblestudy, #godsword, #godswisdom, #wisdom, #kingsolomonwisdom, #BibleReading, #BibleStudy, #JesusTime, #dailybiblestudy, #verseaday, #quiettimewithgod, #faithinjesus, #god, #jesus, #salvation, #salvationinjesus, #believingingod, #GodsWord, #Unrepentanttowns , johnthebaptist , #Bethsaida , #judgement , #burdenislight , #broodofvipers , #LordtheSabbath , #sabbath , #JesusandBeelzebul , #castoutdemons , #healonsabbath , #idesiremercynotsacrifice , I am Nancy Joy and I love to start each day with a morning meditation! Happy Easter! Jesus Has Risen! Alleluia! - By Nancy Grace Joy Matthew 28:1-15
Send me a message!!!Happy Easter! Jesus Has Risen! Alleluia! - By Nancy Grace JoyMatthew 28:1-15 After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb.2 There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. 3 His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. 4 The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.5 The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 6 He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. 7 Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.”8 So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples. 9 Suddenly Jesus met them. “Greetings,” he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him. 10 Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me.”The Guards’ Report11 While the women were on their way, some of the guards went into the city and reported to the chief priests everything that had happened. 12 When the chief priests had met with the elders and devised a plan, they gave the soldiers a large sum of money, 13 telling them, “You are to say, ‘His disciples came during the night and stole him away while we were asleep.’ 14 If this report gets to the governor, we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble.” 15 So the soldiers took the money and did as they were instructed. And this story has been widely circulated among the Jews to this very day. #easter , #heisrisen ,#Crucifixion , #jesuscrucified , #goodfriday , #deathofjesus , #jesusdies , #jesusdiesoncross , #3crosses , #Golgotha , #pilate , #jesussentcedtodeath , #crownofthorns , #itisfinished , #Bible, #jesus, #god, #jesus, #biblestudy, #dailydevotions, #jesustime, #biblestudy, #nancymorningmeditations, #faithinjesus, #jesussaves, #salvation, #biblereading, #godsword, #faith, #lent, #40dayslent, #holyweek, #jesusdies, #ashwednesday, #jesuslastweek, #jesusandhisdisciples, #nancygracejoy , I am Nancy Joy and I love to start each day with a morning meditation! Wesołych Świąt Wielkanocnych! Jezus Zmartwychwstał! Alleluja! – Autor: Nancy Grace Joy- Easter Story in Polish Ewangelia wg św. Mateusza 28:1-15
Send me a message!!!Wesołych Świąt Wielkanocnych! Jezus Zmartwychwstał! Alleluja! – Autor: Nancy Grace Joy- Easter Story in Polish Ewangelia wg św. Mateusza 28:1-15Po szabacie, o świcie pierwszego dnia tygodnia, Maria Magdalena i druga Maria poszły obejrzeć grób. Przyjdźcie i zobaczcie miejsce, gdzie leżał. 7 A teraz idźcie szybko i powiedzcie Jego uczniom: »Zmartwychwstał i wyprzedza was do Galilei. Tam Go ujrzycie«. Oto wam to oznajmiłem”. 8 Kobiety więc pośpiesznie odeszły od grobu – przestraszone, lecz pełne radości – i pobiegły, by powiadomić o tym Jego uczniów.9 Nagle spotkał je Jezus. „Witajcie!” – rzekł. Podeszły do Niego, objęły Jego stopy i oddały Mu pokłon. 12 Gdy arcykapłani spotkali się ze starszymi i ułożyli plan działania, wręczyli żołnierzom dużą sumę pieniędzy, 13 mówiąc: „Macie rozgłaszać: »Jego uczniowie przyszli w nocy i wykradli Go, gdy my spaliśmy«”. 14 „A jeśli wieść o tym dotrze do namiestnika, my go zadowolimy i uchronimy was przed kłopotami”. 15 Żołnierze więc wzięli pieniądze i postąpili tak, jak im polecono. I opowieść ta krąży szeroko wśród Żydów aż po dzień dzisiejszy. #Wielkanoc , #Zmartwychwstał ,#Ukrzyżowanie , #UkrzyżowanyJezus , #WielkiPiątek , #ŚmierćJezusa , #JezusUmiera , #JezusUmieraNaKrzyżu , #3Krzyże , #Golgota , #Piłat , #JezusSkazanyNaŚmierć , #KoronaCierniowa , #WykonałoSię ,#Biblia , #Jezus , #Bóg , #Jezus , #StudiumBiblii , #CodzienneRozważania , #CzasZJezusem , #StudiumBiblii , #PoranneRozważaniaNancy , #WiaraWJezusa , #JezusZbawia , #Zbawienie , #CzytanieBiblii , #SłowoBoże , #Wiara , #WielkiPost , #40DniPostu , #WielkiTydzień , #JezusUmiera , #ŚrodaPopielcowa , #OstatniTydzieńJezusa , #JezusIDysypli , #NancyGraceJoy , I am Nancy Joy and I love to start each day with a morning meditation! Счастливой Пасхи! Христос Воскрес! Аллилуйя! — Нэнси Грейс Джой Матфея 28:1–15 Easter Story in Russian Nancy Grace Joy
Send me a message!!! #Пасха , #ОнВоскрес ,#Распятие , #ИисусРаспят , #СтрастнаяПятница , #СмертьИисуса , #ИисусУмирает , #ИисусУмираетНаКресте , #3Креста , #Голгофа , #Пилат , #ИисусПриговоренКСмерти , #ТерновыйВенец , #Совершилось ,#Библия , #Иисус , #Бог , #Иисус , #ИзучениеБиблии , #ЕжедневныеРазмышления , #ВремяСИисусом , #ИзучениеБиблии , #УтренниеРазмышленияСНэнси , #ВераВИисуса , #ИисусСпасает , #Спасение , #ЧтениеБиблии , #СловоБожье , #Вера , #ВеликийПост , #40ДнейПоста , #СтрастнаяСедмица , #ИисусУмирает , #ПепельнаяСреда , #ПоследняяНеделяИисуса , #ИисусИЕгоУченики , #НэнсиГрейсДжой , I am Nancy Joy and I love to start each day with a morning meditation! #pascua , #haresucitado , #easterinSpanish , #Crucifixión , #jesuscrucificado , #viernes_santo , #muerte_de_jesus , #jesus_muere , #jesus_muere_en_la_cruz , #3cruces , #Gólgota , #pilato , #jesus_condenado_a_muerte , #corona_de_espinas , #consumado_es , #Biblia, #jesus, #dios, #jesus, #estudio_biblico, #devocionales_diarios, #tiempo_con_jesus, #estudio_biblico, #meditaciones_matutinas_de_nancy, #fe_en_jesus, #jesus_salva, #salvacion, #lectura_biblica, #palabra_de_dios, #fe, #cuaresma, #40_dias_cuaresma, #semana_santa, #jesus_muere, #miercoles_de_ceniza, #ultima_semana_de_jesus, #jesus_y_sus_discipulos, #nancygracejoy , I am Nancy Joy and I love to start each day with a morning meditation! Buona Pasqua! Gesù è risorto! Alleluia! - Di Nancy Grace Joy Matteo 28:1-15 -Easter Sunday in Italian
Send me a message!!!Buona Pasqua! Gesù è risorto! Alleluia! Who has resisted him and come out unscathed?5 He moves mountains without their knowing it and overturns them in his anger.6 He shakes the earth from its place and makes its pillars tremble.7 He speaks to the sun and it does not shine; he seals off the light of the stars.8 He alone stretches out the heavens and treads on the waves of the sea.9 He is the Maker of the Bear[a] and Orion, the Pleiades and the constellations of the south.10 He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted.11 When he passes me, I cannot see him; when he goes by, I cannot perceive him.12 If he snatches away, who can stop him? Who can say to him, ‘What are you doing?’13 God does not restrain his anger; even the cohorts of Rahab cowered at his feet.14 “How then can I dispute with him? How can I find words to argue with him?15 Though I were innocent, I could not answer him; I could only plead with my Judge for mercy.16 Even if I summoned him and he responded, I do not believe he would give me a hearing.17 He would crush me with a storm and multiply my wounds for no reason.18 He would not let me catch my breath but would overwhelm me with misery.19 If it is a matter of strength, he is mighty! And if it is a matter of justice, who can challenge him[b]?20 Even if I were innocent, my mouth would condemn me; if I were blameless, it would pronounce me guilty.21 “Although I am blameless, I have no concern for myself; I despise my own life.22 It is all the same; that is why I say, ‘He destroys both the blameless and the wicked.’23 When a scourge brings sudden death, he mocks the despair of the innocent.24 When a land falls into the hands of the wicked, he blindfolds its judges. If it is not he, then who is it?25 “My days are swifter than a runner; they fly away without a glimpse of joy.26 They skim past like boats of papyrus, like eagles swooping down on their prey.27 If I say, ‘I will forget my complaint, I will change my expression, and smile,’28 I still dread all my sufferings, for I know you will not hold me innocent.29 Since I am already found guilty, why should I struggle in vain?30 Even if I washed myself with soap and my hands with cleansing powder,31 you would plunge me into a slime pit so that even my clothes would detest me.32 “He is not a mere mortal like me that I might answer him, that we might confront each other in court.33 If only there were someone to mediate between us, someone to bring us together,34 someone to remove God’s rod from me, so that his terror would frighten me no more.35 Then I would speak up without fear of him, but as it now stands with me, I cannot.Job 10New International Version10 “I loathe my very life; therefore I will give free rein to my complaint and speak out in the bitterness of my soul.2 I say to God: Do not declare me guilty, b I am Nancy Joy and I love to start each day with a morning meditation! A psalm of David.1 How long, Lord? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?2 How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and day after day have sorrow in my heart? How long will my enemy triumph over me?3 Look on me and answer, Lord my God. Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep in death,4 and my enemy will say, “I have overcome him,” and my foes will rejoice when I fall.5 But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation.6 I will sing the Lord’s praise, for he has been good to me.Psalm 14For the director of music. Of David.1 The fool[a] says in his heart, “There is no God.”They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good.2 The Lord looks down from heaven on all mankindto see if there are any who understand, any who seek God.3 All have turned away, all have become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one.4 Do all these evildoers know nothing? They devour my people as though eating bread; they never call on the Lord.5 But there they are, overwhelmed with dread, for God is present in the company of the righteous.6 You evildoers frustrate the plans of the poor, but the Lord is their refuge.7 Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion! Send me a message!!!#bible365 Day #28 Joshua 16-20 w/ Nancy Grace Joy #joshua16 , #nancygracejoy , #bible365, Allotment for Ephraim and Manasseh16 The allotment for Joseph began at the Jordan, east of the springs of Jericho, and went up from there through the desert into the hill country of Bethel. 2 It went on from Bethel (that is, Luz),[a] crossed over to the territory of the Arkites in Ataroth, 3 descended westward to the territory of the Japhletites as far as the region of Lower Beth Horon and on to Gezer, ending at the Mediterranean Sea.4 So Manasseh and Ephraim, the descendants of Joseph, received their inheritance.5 This was the territory of Ephraim, according to its clans:The boundary of their inheritance went from Ataroth Addar in the east to Upper Beth Horon 6 and continued to the Mediterranean Sea. From Mikmethath on the north it curved eastward to Taanath Shiloh, passing by it to Janoah on the east. 7 Then it went down from Janoah to Ataroth and Naarah, touched Jericho and came out at the Jordan. 8 From Tappuah the border went west to the Kanah Ravine and ended at the Mediterranean Sea. This was the inheritance of the tribe of the Ephraimites, according to its clans. 9 It also included all the towns and their villages that were set aside for the Ephraimites within the inheritance of the Manassites.Joshua 1717 This was the allotment for the tribe of Manasseh as Joseph’s firstborn, that is, for Makir, Manasseh’s firstborn. Makir was the ancestor of the Gileadites, who had received Gilead and Bashan because the Makirites were great soldiers. 2 So this allotment was for the rest of the people of Manasseh—the clans of Abiezer, Helek, Asriel, Shechem, Hepher and Shemida. These are the other male descendants of Manasseh son of Joseph by their clans.3 Now Zelophehad son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Makir, the son of Manasseh, had no sons but only daughters, whose names were Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milkah and Tirzah. 4 They went to Eleazar the priest, Joshua son of Nun, and the leaders and said, “The Lord commanded Moses to give us an inheritance among our relatives.” So Joshua gave them an inheritance along with the brothers of their father, according to the Lord’s command17 But Joshua said to the tribes of Joseph—to Ephraim and Manasseh—“You are numerous and very powerful. You will have not only one allotment 18 but the forested hill country as well. Clear it, and its farthest limits will be yours; though the Canaanites have chariots fitted with iron and though they are strong, you can drive them out.”Division of the Rest of the Land18 The whole assembly of the Israelites gathered at Shiloh and set up the tent of meeting there. The country was brought under their control, 2 but there were still seven Israelite tribes who had not yet received their inheritance.3 So Joshua said to the Israelites: “How long will you wait before you begin to take possession of the land that the Lord, the God of your ancestors, has given you? 4 Appoint three men from each tribe. I will send them out to make a survey of the land and to write a description of it, according to the inheritance of each. Then they will return to me. 5 You are to divide the land into seven parts. Judah is to remain in its territory on the south and the tribes of Joseph in their territory on the north. 6 After you have written descriptions of the seven parts of the land, bring them here to me and I will cast lots for you in the presence of the Lord our God. 7 The Levites, however, do not get a portion among you, because the priestly service of the Lord is their inheritance. And Gad, Reuben and the half-tribe of Manasseh have already received their inheritance on I am Nancy Joy and I love to start each day with a morning meditation! Send me a message!!!#bible365 Day #27 Genesis 12-15 God's Covenant w Abraham Sarah with Nancy Grace Joy Genesis 12The Call of Abram12 The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.2 “I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you;I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.[a]3 I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse;and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”[b]4 So Abram went, as the Lord had told him; and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he set out from Harran. 5 He took his wife Sarai, his nephew Lot, all the possessions they had accumulated and the people they had acquired in Harran, and they set out for the land of Canaan, and they arrived there.6 Abram traveled through the land as far as the site of the great tree of Moreh at Shechem. At that time the Canaanites were in the land. 7 The Lord appeared to Abram and said, “To your offspring[c] I will give this land.” So he built an altar there to the Lord, who had appeared to him.Abram in Egypt10 Now there was a famine in the land, and Abram went down to Egypt to live there for a while because the famine was severe. 11 As he was about to enter Egypt, he said to his wife Sarai, “I know what a beautiful woman you are. 12 When the Egyptians see you, they will say, ‘This is his wife.’ Then they will kill me but will let you live. 13 Say you are my sister, so that I will be treated well for your sake and my life will be spared because of you.”14 When Abram came to Egypt, the Egyptians saw that Sarai was a very beautiful woman. 15 And when Pharaoh’s officials saw her, they praised her to Pharaoh, and she was taken into his palace. 16 He treated Abram well for her sake, and Abram acquired sheep and cattle, male and female donkeys, male and female servants, and camels.17 But the Lord inflicted serious diseases on Pharaoh and his household because of Abram’s wife Sarai. 18 So Pharaoh summoned Abram. “What have you done to me?” he said. “Why didn’t you tell me she was your wife? 19 Why did you say, ‘She is my sister,’ so that I took her to be my wife? Now then, here is your wife. Take her and go!” 20 Then Pharaoh gave orders about Abram to his men, and they sent him on his way, with his wife and everything he had.Genesis 13Abram and Lot Separate13 So Abram went up from Egypt to the Negev, with his wife and everything he had, and Lot went with him. 2 Abram had become very wealthy in livestock and in silver and gold.3 From the Negev he went from place to place until he came to Bethel, to the place between Bethel and Ai where his tent had been earlier 4 and where he had first built an altar. There Abram called on the name of the Lord.5 Now Lot, who was moving about with Abram, also had flocks and herds and tents. 6 But the land could not support them while they stayed together, for their possessions were so great that they were not able to stay together. 8 So Abram said to Lot, “Let’s not have any quarreling between you and me, or between your herders and mine, for we are close relatives. 9 Is not the whole land before you? Let’s part company. If you go to the left, I’ll go to the right; if you go to the right, I’ll go to the left.”10 Lot looked around and saw that the whole plain of the Jordan toward Zoar was well watered, like the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt. (This was before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah.) 11 So Lot chose for himself the whole plain of the Jordan and set out toward the east. The two men parted company: 12 Abram lived in the land of Canaan, while Lot lived among the cities of the plain and pitched his tents near Sodom. 13 Now the people of Sodom we I am Nancy Joy and I love to start each day with a morning meditation! Send me a message!!!#Bible365- Day #26 w/ Nancy Grace Joy Romans 7-8 on 1-26Read the Bible in a Year with Nancy Grace Joy using The Variety Plan!Day #26 of 365 Romans 7-8Romans 7Released From the Law, Bound to Christ7 Do you not know, brothers and sisters—for I am speaking to those who know the law—that the law has authority over someone only as long as that person lives? The Law and Sin7 What shall we say, then? Is the law sinful? Certainly not!14 We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin. 15 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. 16 And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. 17 As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. 18 For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature.[c] For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. 19 For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. 20 Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.22 For in my inner being I delight in God’s law;. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? 25 Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.Romans 8Life Through the SpiritTherefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ. 10 But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life[d] because of righteousness. 11 And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of[e] his Spirit who lives in you. For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” 16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. 17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.Present Suffering and Future Glory18 I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. 28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[i] have been called according to his purpose. 29 For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. 30 And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.More Than Conquerors31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34 Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine o I am Nancy Joy and I love to start each day with a morning meditation! But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the gift Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.”The Faith of the Centurion5 When Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to him, asking for help. 6 “Lord,” he said, “my servant lies at home paralyzed, suffering terribly.”7 Jesus said to him, “Shall I come and heal him?”8 The centurion replied, “Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed. 9 10 When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said to those following him, “Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith. 11 I say to you that many will come from the east and the west, But the subjects of the kingdom will be thrown outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”13 Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go! Let it be done just as you believed it would.” And his servant was healed at that moment.Jesus Heals Many14 When Jesus came into Peter’s house, he saw Peter’s mother-in-law lying in bed with a fever. 15 He touched her hand and the fever left her, and she got up and began to wait on him.“He took up our infirmities and bore our diseases.”The Cost of Following JesusThen a teacher of the law came to him and said, “Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go.”Jesus Calms the Storm The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”26 He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.27 The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!”Jesus Restores Two Demon-Possessed Men28 When he arrived at the other side in the region of the Gadarenes 2 demon-possessed men coming from the tombs met him. They were so violent that no one could pass that way. “What do you want with us, Son of God?” The demons begged Jesus, “If you drive us out, send us into the herd of pigs.”32 He said to them, “Go!” So they came out and went into the pigs, and the whole herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and died in the water. Matthew 9Jesus Forgives and Heals a Paralyzed Man9 Jesus stepped into a boat, crossed over and came to his own town. 2 Some men brought to him a paralyzed man, lying on a mat. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the man, “Take heart, son; your sins are forgiven.”, “Get up, take your mat and go home.” 7 Then the man got up and went home. 8 When the crowd saw this, they were filled with awe; and they praised God, who had given such authority to man.The Calling of Matthew9 As Jesus went on from there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector’s booth. “Follow me,” he told him, and Matthew got up and followed him. Let them show you and make knownwhat the Lord Almighty has planned against Egypt. There is nothing Egypt can do— head or tail, palm branch or reed.16 In that day the Egyptians will become weaklings. They will shudder with fear at the uplifted hand that the Lord Almighty raises against them. 17 And the land of Judah will bring terror to the Egyptians; everyone to whom Judah is mentioned will be terrified, because of what the Lord Almighty is planning against them.19 In that day there will be an altar to the Lord in the heart of Egypt, and a monument to the Lord at its border. When they cry out to the Lord because of their oppressors, he will send them a savior and defender, and he will rescue them. 21 So the Lord will make himself known to the Egyptians, and in that day they will acknowledge the Lord. 22 The Lord will strike Egypt with a plague; he will strike them and heal them. They will turn to the Lord, and he will respond to their pleas and heal them. 25 The Lord Almighty will bless them, saying, “Blessed be Egypt my people, Assyria my handiwork, and Israel my inheritance.”Isaiah Isaiah 21 A prophecy against the Desert by the Sea:Like whirlwinds sweeping through the southland, an invader comes from the desert, from a land of terror.2 A dire vision has been shown to me: The traitor betrays, the looter takes loot.Elam, attack! Are not their days like those of hired laborers?2 Like a slave longing for the evening shadows, or a hired laborer waiting to be paid,3 so I have been allotted months of futility, and nights of misery have been assigned to me.4 When I lie down I think, ‘How long before I get up?’ The night drags on, and I toss and turn until dawn.5 My body is clothed with worms and scabs, my skin is broken and festering.6 “My days are swifter than a weaver’s shuttle, and they come to an end without hope.7 Remember, O God, that my life is but a breath; my eyes will never see happiness again.8 The eye that now sees me will see me no longer; you will look for me, but I will be no more.9 As a cloud vanishes and is gone, so one who goes down to the grave does not return.10 He will never come to his house again; his place will know him no more.11 “Therefore I will not keep silent; I will speak out in the anguish of my spirit, I will complain in the bitterness of my soul.12 Am I the sea, or the monster of the deep, that you put me under guard?13 When I think my bed will comfort me and my couch will ease my complaint,14 even then you frighten me with dreams and terrify me with visions,15 so that I prefer strangling and death, rather than this body of mine.16 I despise my life; I would not live forever. Let me alone; my days have no meaning.17 “What is mankind that you make so much of them, that you give them so much attention,18 that you examine them every morning and test them every moment?19 Will you never look away from me, or let me alone even for an instant?20 If I have sinned, what have I done to you, you who see everything we do?Why have you made me your target? Have I become a burden to you?[a]21 Why do you not pardon my offenses and forgive my sins? For I will soon lie down in the dust; you will search for me, but I will be no more.”Bildad8 Then Bildad the Shuhite replied:2 “How long will you say such things? Your words are a blustering wind.3 Does God pervert justice? Does the Almighty pervert what is right?4 When your children sinned against him, he gave them over to the penalty of their sin.5 But if you will seek God earnestly and plead with the Almighty,6 if you are pure and upright, even now he will rouse himself on your behalf and restore you to your prosperous state.7 Your beginnings will seem humble, so prosperous will your future be.8 “Ask the former generation and find out what their ancestors learned,9 for we were born only yesterday and know nothing, and our days on earth are but a shadow.10 Will they not instruct you and tell you? Will they not bring forth words from their understanding?11 Can papyrus grow tall where there is no marsh? Can reeds thrive without water?12 While still growing and uncut, they wither more quickly than grass.13 Such is the destiny of all who forget God; so perishes the hope of the godless.14 What I am Nancy Joy and I love to start each day with a morning meditation! #bible365 Bible in a Year with Nancy Grace Joy using The Variety Plan! Day #22 of 365 Psalms 9-11
Send me a message!!!Read the Bible in a Year with Nancy Grace Joy using The Variety Plan!Day #22 of 365 Psalms 9-11 #Psalm11 , #Psalm10, #Psalm9, #psalmofdavid, Psalm 9For the director of music. To the tune of “The Death of the Son.” A psalm of David.1 I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.2 I will be glad and rejoice in you; I will sing the praises of your name, O Most High.3 My enemies turn back; they stumble and perish before you.4 For you have upheld my right and my cause, sitting enthroned as the righteous judge.5 You have rebuked the nations and destroyed the wicked; you have blotted out their name for ever and ever.6 Endless ruin has overtaken my enemies, you have uprooted their cities; even the memory of them has perished.7 The Lord reigns forever; he has established his throne for judgement.8 He rules the world in righteousness and judges the peoples with equity.9 The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.10 Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.11 Sing the praises of the Lord, enthroned in Zion; proclaim among the nations what he has done. and there rejoice in yoursalvation.15 The nations have fallen into the pit they have dug; their feet are caught in the net they have hidden.16 The Lord is known by his acts of justice; the wicked are ensnared by the work of their hands.[c]17 The wicked go down to the realm of the dead, all the nations that forget God.18 But God will never forget the needy; the hope of the afflicted will never perish.19 Arise, Lord, do not let mortals triumph; let the nations be judged in your presence.20 Strike them with terror, Lord; let the nations know they are only mortal.Psalm 10[a]1 Why, Lord, do you stand far off? Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble?2 In his arrogance the wicked man hunts down the weak, who are caught in the schemes he devises.3 He boasts about the cravings of his heart; he blesses the greedy and reviles the Lord.4 In his pride the wicked man does not seek him; in all his thoughts there is no room for God.5 His ways are always prosperous; your laws are rejected by[b] him; he sneers at all his enemies.6 He says to himself, “Nothing will ever shake me.” He swears, “No one will ever do me harm.”7 His mouth is full of lies and threats; trouble and evil are under his tongue.8 He lies in wait near the villages; from ambush he murders the innocent. His eyes watch in secret for his victims;9 like a lion in cover he lies in wait.He lies in wait to catch the helpless; he catches the helpless and drags them off in his net.10 His victims are crushed, they collapse; they fall under his strength.11 He says to himself, “God will never notice; he covers his face and never sees.”12 Arise, Lord! Lift up your hand, O God. Do not forget the helpless.13 Why does the wicked man revile God? Why does he say to himself, “He won’t call me to account”?14 But you, God, see the trouble of the afflicted;&nbsp I am Nancy Joy and I love to start each day with a morning meditation!
