Pay Attention To The Process, Not The Result What is the difference between successful people and those who fail? It’s the act of consistency, there is something called the power of 10,000 hours or 10 years, this ideology written by Malcolm Gladwell in his book Outliers, means great people or successful people are successful because they have done something for about 10,000 hours or 10 years. Look at the best footballers, they must have been playing for 10 years, the best actress must have been acting for 10 years, and the best drummer must have spent 10,000 hours drumming. This was proven in the book Outliers. Haven established this fact, you will agree with me that for you to spend 10 years doing something, it means you are obsessed, I mean nobody will spend 10,00 hours doing something without loving the processes. This is why paying attention to the process is way more important than the result, if you have your mind on the result alone, it will be hard to be consistent for 10 years or 10,000 hours because the majority of this 10,000 hours will be when you are a fool at that thing and failing, so focusing on the result will make you easily discouraged and then make you quit easily. However, loving the process is the key to helping you stay consistent, you absolutely don’t care about how many customers buy, but about the number of sales calls you make.
