Dr. Uzma experienced a sudden onset of symptoms during her 3rd pregnancy, which turned out to be labyrinthitis. But this was only the beginning of an unimaginable ordeal, marked by a debilitating list of symptoms, including vertigo, nausea, blood pressure issues and a high pulse, anxiety, panic attacks, lightheadedness, rocking and balance problems, fatigue, multiple sensory sensitivities, and more. Dr. Uzma ended up bedridden and sought help from multiple doctors and medication. Listen in to hear what happened when Dr. Uzma found The Steady Coach and began understanding the cause of her illness. She will share the sources of stress and personality traits that made her vulnerable to neural circuit dizziness (NCD) and what she did to recover. Dr. Uzma will also talk about how this experience transformed her as both a person and a physician, as well as the role of faith in her journey.
