#83 Dekko Comics: Reading and Learning in a Different Format

from Dyslexia Explored · host Darius Namdaran

Rossie Stone was the very first guest we featured here in Dyslexia Explored. In that episode, he shared how he came up with creating a company, Dekko Comics, that takes real school subjects and makes it easy to absorb for kids through fun and visually engaging comics. Listen to the first episode to learn more. This time, Rossie came to the show to share more of what happened after. A continuation of our conversation, Rossie talked about the things he learned at art school and how it changed his perspective on turning his dream into reality. He also shared what they went through as a company and what he learned from it. And finally, seeing the results of students who used their resources, not only with children with dyslexia but also children without it.  Links you might want to check: Website: https://dekkocomics.com/ Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/dekkocomics Children's confidence boosted thanks to dyslexic artist's reading and learning resource: https://dekkocomics.com/blog/improving-confidence-through-comics BUY COMICS: https://dekkocomics.com/buy/comics READ ONLINE: https://dekkocomics.com/issue-list-home Dominic Short film Trailer: https://youtu.be/PFqvrqG_AFc  Bulletmap Academy Page: https://bulletmapacademy.com BulletMap Academy Workshop: https://bulletmapacademy.com/workshop/ BulletMap Academy Blogs: https://bulletmapacademy.com/blogs/ Enroll in BulletMap Academy: https://bulletmapacademy.com/sales-page/#price Show notes: https://bulletmapacademy.com/83/
