Leonard Nimoy's death, ten years later, and the cultural impact of Spock, six decades later.On February 27, 2015, the Star Trek family suffered a big blow when the original Spock actor, Leonard Nimoy, passed away at the age of 83, from COPD. His career was nearly 65 years, from not only as his role as Spock, but to other aspects of acting and hosting as well as other media.
