Ashleigh Vanhouten is a true renaissance woman in the world of health and fitness.  She is a talented writer and writes for Paleo Magazine She is a podcast host to The Paleo Magazine Podcast and contributing co-host to The Muscle Intelligence Podcast alongside renowned Body Builder Ben Pakulski. She is a Primal Health Coach. She is also is the creator of a The Human Potential Party–– a series of intimate gatherings scattered across North America that are geared around powerful discussions in Health/Fitness/Wellness called with high-level experts in the field.  She is a LIFE-long athlete who has put solid sweat equity into Cross Fit, Power Lifting, Jiu-Jitsu, Boxing and has been a winning competitor in the sport of Body Building. She is a beautiful example of someone who is very curious to furthering the constant discovery of what she is capable of in her life. This fun and inspired talk is a blend of both Ashleigh and I taking turns to ask each other questions. Somethings you will learn in this episode are: Both of our journeys into Martial Arts and training JiuJitsu Ashleigh’s influences as a child that encouraged her robust path of fitness and health Being a highly curious person and competent individual Exploring new challenges to keep creating yourself. Body image talks Harmonizing Masculine & Feminine Energy as a woman Ashleigh’s Body Building journey & talks around the sport How I arrived at my Makeup Career Game Changers the movie and our thoughts around “tribal diets” Our individual approaches to our diets And so much more! I am so appreciative for my new friendship with Ashleigh courtesy of our very close mutual friend, Gabrielle Lyon- who is one of the baddest integrative physicians on this planet (EP 59 for those who want to learn more about her) and knew Ashleigh and I would hit it off as homegirls like we did, which is so apparent in this episode and really is my favorite part of this talk. Enjoy! xRx PS. Ashleigh has a weekly newsletter that is SO legit, easy to digest and honestly, one of my favorite emails to receive. I highly recommend signing up for it via her website below.
