85. Mental Health and Motivation with TikTok Sensation, Zachery Dereniowski

from Leanne Ward Nutrition · host Leanne Ward

In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, Sydney-based mental health activist, Zachery Dereniowski found himself at breaking point. He had undergone ACL knee surgery, medical school was challenging, his long-term relationship had just ended and he was unable to return home to Canada to see his family.   With the hope of giving people a voice and the confidence that they are not alone in their struggles, Zach started sharing mental health content on TikTok.   Zach’s following quickly grew 1.5 million. Three months after starting his TikTok, Zach formed the Mental Health Movement (MHM) with the mission, "You Matter Most", a movement that seeks to normalise conversations around mental health and wellbeing.     In today’s podcast, Zach and I talk all things anxiety and mental health, depression, perfectionism and motivation.   Please share this incredible episode on your Instagram stories and make sure you tag us.
