Dr. Nashira Kayode is native to beautiful Southern California. She has spent the last 17 years as a professional in the mental health field as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). She obtained a PhD in Public Policy and Administration with a Specialization in Criminal Justice in 2017 and a Master of Social Work (MSW) in 2008. expert in Social Work with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) for the State of California. I have provided and directed mental health services throughout California in state, county, court, and private agencies. I have performed various roles throughout my career in mental health including forensic expert, trainer, direct service provider, program developer, manager, and director. I created Kayode Psychotherapy and Consultation in 2017 (previously Funn Psychotherapy and Consultation) and have several published works. In my personal time, I enjoy traveling with my husband and 3 children. I am an enthusiastic basketball mom, so most evenings are spent cheering on my boys in the gym!
