Margaret is a multi-award-winning Registered Massage Therapist and clinic owner with a background in Kinesiology from The University of Waterloo and she has completed her Designation as a Professional Consultant in Aging. She is the visionary behind the inaugural Preventative Health Awareness Month and Movement aka PHAM recognized by Health Canada in 2023. She is on a mission to educate and empower Canadians to improve their health esteem so they can effectively advocate for and Become the CEO of their Health. Margaret has enjoyed lending her voice and reputation to networks and brands such as City TV, Global, CTV, Rogers, Cogeco, Johnson & Johnson, American Airlines, Icy Hot, Traditional Medicinals, RBC Insurance, Cottenelle, Proctor & Gamble and Boiron Canada just to name a few. Margaret is the founder of Wallis for Wellness, an award-winning integrative health clinic which she successfully operated for 30 years. She has spent more than 25 of those years in front (and behind) the camera delivering and producing content that educates, empowers, and motivates audiences of all ages be proactive when it comes to their health. Margaret has a natural ability to connect with her audience by providing thoughtful and assiduous reporting on health and wellness topics across North America. She is on a mission to change our approach to health from a “pill for an ill” to a more preventative and proactive one. She believes that you are the MOST important member of your healthcare team and that you should be in the driver’s seat of your health, and she is committed to supporting you on that journey. She is also honoured to be the recipient of the following awards: 2009 Zonta Women of Achievement Award in the category of Health, Wellness and Fitness, The 2015 Brampton Board of Trade Business Excellence Award in the category of Communication, 2016 Registered Massage Therapist of Ontario’s Professional Service Award, and more recently was recognized for her work in integrative health with The Award of Distinction at the 2018 International Women’s Day Awards Gala and the 2018 Waterfront Magazine Awards “Wow”, does Margaret ever rest?
