9-1: ACC Atlantic Champs - FSU Recap

from Clemson Pawcast · host Clemson Pawcast

The Clemson Tigers overcame some crucial mistakes and a sluggish 3rd quarter in Death Valley on Saturday night only to emerge with a 31-14 victory over rival Florida State and as ACC Atlantic Division Champions for a third year in a row. The Seminoles, though only a shell of their former selves, did not give in after the Tiger’s took a 17-0 lead into halftime, battling back to within 3 points with just under 9 minutes to go in the fourth as the Tiger faithful held their breath before Van Smith and Travis Etienne sealed the deal on Clemson’s victory. It wasn’t a perfectly executed game plan but one thing is for certain, the Clemson Tigers are 9-1 and will be playing the Miami Hurricanes for their 4th conference title in 9 years and tie FSU with 5 division titles all time. This team still has a lot to work on but it's hard to argue with the results for a team that lost their greatest player of all time and were facing what was considered to be a rebuilding year coming into the season. Another notch in Clemson’s championship belt, another shot at greatness. Enjoy our recap and Go Tigers!!!
