9. Gideon: Rise of a New Moses? - Judges 6:1-24

The fifth Judge of Israel, Gideon is called by God to save Israel from the Midian oppression and grant them peace much like Moses who saved Israel from the Egyptian oppression and granted them peace. Is Gideon the new Moses the people seek to save them from their oppressors? Gideon however is cowardly and reluctant hearing God's call. Yet, God reveals his power and purpose to provide perfect peace for his people in spite of Gideon's feelings of inadequacy.
