9. Talking Gut Health (Part 1) with Double Board Certified Gastroenterologist, Dr. Will Bulsiewicz

from Leanne Ward Nutrition · host Leanne Ward

The emerging science is proving the old adage true: you really are what you eat. More and more studies are showing that your diet and, in turn, the health of your gut is of critical importance to overall health and may aid in the prevention of various diseases. In this episode, I interview Dr. Will Bulsiewicz (@theguthealthmd on Instagram), a double board certified gastroenterologist and doctor of internal medicine. Dr B. and I take you through the studies and facts surrounding how to improve your gut health through your diet, what to include in your diet and what to avoid, and also the impact of non-dietary factors such as stress and sleep. We talk about irritable bowel syndrome, the real low FODMAP diet and how to do it properly. Finally, we discuss the impact of diet and gut health on a number of conditions such as coeliac disease, leaky gut, dysbiosis, polycystic ovary syndrome, endometriosis and the effect gut health has on women's hormones and weight loss.  If you enjoyed this podcast, please leave me a positive rating or review in the purple Apple Podcast app (in the rating & reviews section underneath the episode lists). This really helps my podcast get prioritised by Apple and helps me disseminate evidence based information to the people that need it the most!
