This week, we sit down with the Executive Director of Casting for the Kids, Ben Shroyer. Several years ago, Ben and his wife received the 4 words no parent ever wants to hear… “your child has cancer”. As a result, Ben decided to turn his mess into his message by helping to raise money for families dealing with the costs associated with having a child going through cancer. You’ll hear the heart wrenching experience he had in the hospital when he realized that he didn’t want any child to go through the experience without their family by their side.As a result, he combined his love for fishing into his fund raising efforts, creating a tournament for kids across the Sun Coast. You’ll hear numerous heart warming stories, along with the inspirational update of his own daughter, who is now 5 years free of the disease!
