"These Are the Voyages..." two decades later and the expanded literary universe of Star Trek: Enterprise. On May 13, 2005, Star Trek: Enterprise aired its controversial series finale "These Are the Voyages..." and with its airing ended a then-18-year run of new Star Trek on television and film. However, in the two decades since its airing, fans have enjoyed the adventures of Captain Archer and the crew of the Enterprise NX-01 in a dozen or so novels that take place after the fourth season's events.
