When will you step down to lift someone up?The reason I ask that is because often in a corporation or when we work in a hierarchy, we are set in our ways in this is my role, and that your role. When I used to work in corporate land, I didn't give a crap about hierarchy. My people that reported to me were very welcome to go and attend meetings on my behalf. However, it went down with a little bit of iffiness initially, until I started to change the culture, slowly, and explain to people that I am stepping down so the rest of my team can step up because you can't rely solely on me you have to rely on the wider team. So my question to you is, for this week, consider how you are going to step down to allow others to step up. It's a brilliant thing to do.
