In Romans Chapters 9-11 we see Paul addressing the question of Israel's Past, Present and Future... We continue into our new section of Romans: Israel’s Present: Their Rejection of God—Chapters 9:30—10:21 We can be zealous about something, but it doesn't mean we are right. The Jews were zealous about The Law, but they missed when Jesus brought it to completion in the New Covenant. As believers, our righteousness comes from God. The Jews were very zealous about their religion, but they missed the True Righteous One, Jesus... *** Paul chose Rome for a reason when he went out to preach. Firstly, because God had sent him, but because Rome was a central 'point of the world' as 'all roads lead to Rome'. So if he shared the Gospel there, whomever received it would carry God's Word, and the testimonies of Paul and the work they'd seen done out into the four corners of the world. Often referred to as the Gospel according to Paul, and the greatest book ever written, Paul's letter to the Romans will become our focus as Pastor Phil continues to lead us through the Word of God.
