60年代，梁明柏的哥哥在酒店当烘焙师，有一天他吃了一口哥哥带回来的蛋糕碎，从没吃过蛋糕的12岁男孩就被那滋味给深深吸引，立志要从事烘焙业。 1972年，当完兵后，梁明柏到一家由一对夫妻经营的传统面包店当学徒，从以火炭起火到打鸡蛋，大部分都是手工制作，工作辛苦，晚上睡觉累得 “就算老虎来了，也不管了。” 70年代蛋糕店只卖蛋糕，面包店只卖面包，不像今天一家店里什么都卖。那么早年的 “西菓店” 是什么意思呢？梁明柏师傅说这是海南人对来自西方的蛋糕的叫法。 See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
