本地剧场演员黄家强在马来西亚登嘉楼出生，小时候随着父亲的工作于新马两地来回奔波生活。一年级在新加坡念英校，二年级回到登嘉楼却因为所住的地方离学校太远而没有办法上学。 后来父亲生意失败，身为长子的黄家强为父母分担家计，也为了让弟弟们继续念书，自己就没有上中学，而是在舅舅的介绍下，到一家广告公司当学徒。后来为了赚取更高的工资，黄家强也当过电梯装置工人。 演出过不少经典剧目，创造出不少脍炙人口的角色，黄家强“邂逅”剧场的过程也充满戏剧性。某日，他误打误撞在维多利亚剧院看到一群和他年纪相差不远的少年在排练，那一刹那，让黄家强着了迷，希望自己有一天也能在舞台上演出。See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
