98: Abzu - A Literal Deep Dive

Since our last deep dive was hacking, slashing, and murdering anything in our way with God of War Ragnarok, we decided to slow things down a bit and pick a game that was a little more relaxing. For this episode we take a look at Abzu - an underwater adventure game released in 2016. Did the calming nature of this game soothe our hearts and win us over? Or did the more laid back gameplay not resonate with our bloodthirsty instincts? Listen to find out! There are spoilers ahead, but since Abzu clocks in at just around 2 hours (and was given for free at one point by Sony) we'd recommend you give it a playthrough before you listen. Or go ahead and just get spoiled - we don't really care that much either way... As always, we've got some trivia at the end to test your knowledge of water based games. And one more thing! As this game has connections with the game Journey, we mention that title quite a bit as well. We don't spoil anything much from Journey, but if you haven't played that, several of our crew strongly recommend that you do!
