98. Rhythm During the Holidays

from Waldorf Essentials

Melisa Nielsen shares what works for their family during the holiday season. It's not focused on specific religions and each practices special to your family. This is more about what's in the air, shopping experiences and invites to all the things. - Is your partner going to be home more for the holidays or out more working to prepare for the holidays? Have a family meeting. - Pull out the calendars and make sure everyone is on the same page. It's ok to say no, I'm sorry we can't make it to events. Having home days is important and necessary to keep everyone in the family healthy and well. - Shopping, have a plan to go without the kids. Over stimulation and wondering what presents will be is too much for a calm holiday. Even holiday music can be overstimulating. When possible we’ll bring to attention any research or studies surrounding the topics we are exploring.
