A 50-year Lookback & Hope for the Future with Dr. Ken Jones

from Living with FASD · host Patricia Kasper

Living with FASD is an educational and human interest show for those living with the effects of prenatal exposure to alcohol, their loved one and anyone interested in learning more about Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders, brought to you by someone with both professional and living experience with FASD. Kenneth Lyons Jones, MD, is a Distinguished Professor of Pediatrics at University of California School of Medicine, San Diego (UCSD). He is also the Chief of the Division of Dysmorphology and Teratology in the School of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego, and co-directs the Center for Better Beginnings. He is one of two physicians who first described the fetal alcohol syndrome (FAS) in 1973, and has clinically evaluated hundreds of children prenatally exposed to alcohol in the United States, Russia, Ukraine, Italy, South Africa, South Korea, and Poland. Dr. Jones’ contributions to science and positions that he continues to hold to this day are too numerous to list here, but for a complete list of his published works, go here: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/myncbi/kenneth.jones.1/bibliography/41150678/public/?sort=date&direction=ascending He may be reached at UCSD.
