A catch-up with local shoe shop Little Goody New Shoes – Episode 51

This week on This is Rammy I catch up with Lisa Coulborn of Little Goody New shoes. I interviewed Lisa for the podcast back in September before Little Goody New Shoes actually opened. In that episode Lisa and I chatted about how this was a completely new venture for her having previously been a customer of the now closed (and soon to be estate agents) Shoe House. Lisa took over the shop on Bridge Street which was previously Purple Tiger back in October last year and has became extremely passionate about fitting children’s shoes, being a parent herself, Lisa knows just how important getting your children’s shoes right is. In this interview I touch on National Shoe Fitting week which is coming up, and how Lisa is getting on with her new line of work since starting the shop.   Ramsbottom United Ramsbottom United managed a draw at home against Workington on Saturday the 27th, sadly the Tuesday match against Colwyn Bay on the Tuesday had to be called off again due to a waterlogged pitch. It’s National Shoe Fitting Week from the 19th of March and Little Goody New Shoes is all over it for the whole month of March. The East Lancs Railway have the Spring Steam Gala from the 11th March to the 13th March at Bolton Street Station in Bury, full details are on the site. We’re very near to the Chocolate Festival weekend, where for the first time in This is Rammy history we’ll be decorating and racing our very own duck, thanks to Little Katie who very kindly managed to source a duck for me. On the theme of ducks, Joe of The Hungry Duck, and myself and This is Rammy will be having a little wager as part of the duck race to spice things up a bit. I’ve bet him that if their duck beats mine, I’ll give him a free advertisement on the podcast, but if mine beats his, then it’s a free English Breakfast.
