A Family Story

Matthew 1 - the genealogy of Jesus - seems a strange way to start the greatest story. It's a long list of names and probably not the way we would think to begin! But this list threads through thousands of years of history, creating momentum and finding its satisfying conclusion in the Messiah, the Lord Jesus. His story satisfies us more than decorations, food, gifts and holidays, and his story ultimately satisfies us for eternity.
